Manure treatment
Since the early 90s, SAHIVO, S.A. has been concerned with the management and treatment of manure. We have extensive experience in the development of systems and equipment for the management of manure and livestock waste.
We carry out the different phases of manure management, including manure collection, solid-liquid manure separation, and biological and chemical treatment to extract even more dissolved nutrients from the manure for better valorization and waste management.
Manure treatment involves separating nutrients and by-products through physical, chemical, and biological processes to reduce their pollutant load and enable separate management. The products resulting from the treatment are more profitable when separated than when mixed.
Since the 1990s, the Administration has regulated the management of livestock waste and the manure treatment process, so it is necessary to install manure treatment equipment on farms in areas with a high concentration of livestock. The process begins with the collection of manure in the pits of the livestock facilities, which are then channeled to manure tanks for separation processes.
The first treatment is solid-liquid separation, where a compostable solid fraction and a liquid fraction with fewer nutrient loads are obtained. The latter undergoes biological and/or chemical treatments to extract more nutrients.
Currently, we design and install plants with electrical panels with automata that allow all manure management and separation processes to be carried out automatically. Our wide range of designs includes:
- Phase separation
- Drying and valorization of the solid phase
- Biological or physical-chemical treatment of the liquid phase
- Biological filtering of polluting gases
- And more.
SAHIVO has extensive experience in the livestock agricultural sector and offers customized solutions for the installation of complete biological and physical-chemical treatment plants to reduce nitrogen by up to 90%.
At SAHIVO, we carefully study and analyze all the needs of each livestock farm in a personalized way in order to offer the best solutions to treat manure.
